More than just a passion, the vineyards represent a family touchstone, an ancestral tradition. The work and continuation of this tradition by Roger Pouyau, the director of the property, has resulted in expressive, fine wines while preserving the fruit aromas from the grapes themselves. The habitual high quality of our wines has allowed Domain du Mont Saint-Jean to win many awards and competitions. |

The modern vineyards occupy 95 hectares (235 acres) of which 60 (148 acres) are A.O.C. and 35 (86 acres) are Vin de Pays. The Domain has both traditional Corsican varietals (Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, Vermentinu, and Aleatico) as well as traditional mainland varietals (Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon).
The vineyard's location on the mountainside is favorable for both the quality and the temperature of the grapes as they mature. In addition, a rigorous selection of grapes and control of the yields enhance the specific varietal characteristics of all the grapes. |

The completely modern winery is located in the village of U Campu a U Quarciu. The stainless steel vats are equipped with an automatic cooling system allowing for a more controlled fermentation and storage of the wines. This modern design is especially favorable for the white wines in that it preserves its more delicate aromas. Oak barrels for the aging of select wines have recently been added. |
